Connect the box
Start the Smart-Mosque-Box as a Docker container on the desk's network, approve the code in the dashboard and choose the channels moschee.io may see.
The sound desk that switches itself for the prayer.
Connect your mosque's Behringer X32 to moschee.io: switch channels from the dashboard, the app or a link for the imam, automate the adhan and the iqamah, and add switches from Home Assistant.
Beta: only the Behringer X32 family is supported for now (X32, Compact, Producer, Rack, Core).
Smart Mosque connects your mosque's Behringer X32 to moschee.io. A small Smart-Mosque-Box on the desk's network talks to the desk, and you switch channels from the dashboard, the moschee.io app or a link for the imam. Automations switch at the adhan, the iqamah and after the prayer, with nobody standing at the desk.
The feature is in beta and currently supports the Behringer X32 family only: X32, X32 Compact, X32 Producer, X32 Rack and X32 Core. It is included in the Community Plus and Reach plans.
Start the Smart-Mosque-Box as a Docker container on the desk's network, approve the code in the dashboard and choose the channels moschee.io may see.
When the adhan, the iqamah or the end of the prayer comes, only if the conditions match, then mute, unmute, set a level or recall a scene. New rules only log at first.
Switch from the dashboard and the app, hand the imam a remote as a link with a QR code, and bring power and lights in through Home Assistant.
Beta: currently Behringer X32 only (X32, Compact, Producer, Rack, Core). Included in Gemeinde Plus and Reichweite; the box runs on a mini PC or Raspberry Pi that you provide.
The Smart-Mosque-Box is a Docker container on a mini PC or Raspberry Pi on the same network as the desk. It talks to the X32 over the network and keeps the connection to moschee.io. This is how you set it up:
Only the channels you set up appear in moschee.io, and only those does the box switch. A channel can be "protected during prayer": no automation then mutes the imam's microphone between the iqamah and the end of the prayer.
The "Live" tab shows the channels you set up with their meters and state. One tap mutes or unmutes a channel, you set a level or recall a scene from the desk. Every change carries who made it: the desk, a person, a remote, an automation or Home Assistant.
The same is available in the moschee.io app under "Mixer". Owners, admins and streamers switch channels and pause automations; setup, rules and remotes stay with owners and admins.
A remote is a link for the imam or a helper, with no account. It contains only the channels you choose, allows mute/on or also the level, scenes if you want, and pausing the automations. The link is valid for a day, 30 days or until you revoke it, and comes with a QR code for the minbar.
An automation is made of When, Only if and Then. When: a prayer moment such as the adhan, the iqamah, the end of the adhan or after the prayer, with an offset in minutes, for single prayers or all of them, Jumu'ah included. The times come from your prayer times. If live translation is running, the box can also hear the adhan and the iqamah and fire the rule right then, with the timetable as the fallback.
Only if: certain prayers, weekdays or only during a livestream. A person always wins: if someone changed a channel shortly before at the desk or in the app, the box leaves it alone. Then: mute, mute once it is quiet, fade in, set a level, recall a scene or a snippet, wait.
New rules first only log what they would have done, so you can check the history for a few prayers before they really switch. The automations run on the box and therefore without internet; in the dashboard you pause them for an hour, until the evening or until you switch them back on.
If your mosque uses Home Assistant, connect it through HACS with the "moschee.io" integration. In Home Assistant you choose which switches, lights and helpers moschee.io may see, for example the desk's power socket. These switches appear next to the desk in the dashboard and in the app.
Switch rules run from the prayer timetable directly inside Home Assistant: "switch the desk on 15 minutes before Fajr" or "switch it off 30 minutes after Isha". While a translation is live, no rule switches anything off. If you want, Home Assistant also sees the desk's channels as entities and may switch them; protected channels stay untouched during the prayer.
Smart Mosque is new and marked as beta. Today that means:
Write to us through the contact form if you would like to try Smart Mosque in your mosque.
Smart Mosque is included in Community Plus and Reach. The box software, the automations, the remotes and the Home Assistant connection are part of it; you provide a mini PC or Raspberry Pi for the box yourself.

In the beta, the Behringer X32 family: X32, X32 Compact, X32 Producer, X32 Rack and X32 Core. The box talks to the desk over the network; no expansion card is needed. We add other desks once we have tested them on real devices.
A small computer on the same network as the desk, for example a mini PC or a Raspberry Pi with Docker. The box runs as one container that you start with a command from the dashboard. Then you connect it to moschee.io with a code. The setup guide walks through it step by step.
Yes. The box keeps the rules and the next days' prayer timetable on the device and switches the desk even when the connection is down. Only live switching from the dashboard and the app needs internet. For emergencies the box has its own page on the mosque network, protected by a PIN.
Not if you mark the channel as "protected during prayer". Between the iqamah and the end of the prayer no automation touches it, not even through Home Assistant. And if someone changed a channel by hand shortly before, the box skips it.
Under "Remotes" you create a link with exactly the channels and rights he needs. The link and its QR code are shown only once; print it for the minbar or send it on. He needs no account, and you can revoke the link at any time.
Nothing extra: Smart Mosque is included in the Community Plus and Reach plans. The only addition is the hardware for the box, which you provide yourself.
