Many community members follow Friday prayer on YouTube, others on Facebook or in the mosque's Telegram channel. With restreaming you send your moschee.io live room to these platforms at the same time instead of setting up a separate broadcast for each. People using the app or the mosque website keep listening in the live room; everyone else you reach where they already are.
Each destination gets the right version: landscape or portrait, original audio or a translated language, and captions if you want them. Our guide to setting up a mosque livestream shows how restreaming fits into a complete broadcast.

Restreaming requires an eligible plan and available quota. Platform accounts and streaming permissions are configured separately.
YouTube, Facebook, Telegram and any RTMP destination
When you add a destination, you pick a template that pre-fills starting values and hints. The streaming address and key always come from the platform itself:
YouTube: server and stream key from YouTube Studio.
Facebook: the values from Live Producer or the streaming software view.
Telegram: server URL and key from your channel's video chat.
Other: any ingest server that accepts RTMP or RTMPS.
Once saved, stream keys are write-only. The destination list shows only the last four characters; to rotate a key, simply enter a new one.
Format, audio and captions per destination
Each destination stores its own output: landscape 16:9 or portrait 9:16, original audio or an available translation language, captions on or off, and a caption layout. That way one destination can receive the original audio with captions and another a translated audio track.
Different combinations of format, audio and captions each need their own output. Before you start, the live controls summarise what will be sent. This matters for your quota, because it is counted per output.
How a broadcast works
Restreaming is tied to your live room. On a Friday it looks like this:
Add your destinations once in the dashboard under Restream.
Start the live room as usual, with live translation if you like.
In the live room, pick the destinations you want, check the output and start it.
Keep an eye on the status and any last error, and stop the output when the broadcast ends.

What you need
Before your first restream, have the following ready:
A plan with restreaming: Community Plus or Reach.
A moschee.io live room as the source.
An account on each destination platform with live streaming enabled.
The platform's streaming address and stream key.
Which plan includes restreaming?
Restreaming is included from the Community Plus plan, with 15 hours per month; Reach includes 50 hours. Usage is counted per output: sending one hour in landscape and portrait at the same time uses two hours. Beyond that, usage is billed at €12 per output hour. The Restream page in the dashboard shows your current quota.
Which platforms can a mosque stream to at the same time?
There are templates for YouTube, Facebook and Telegram. You can also add any destination that accepts RTMP or RTMPS. Several destinations run in parallel from the same live room.
Can viewers on YouTube hear the translation?
Yes. For each destination you choose the original audio or a translation language available in the room, plus captions if you want them. That way the khutbah also reaches viewers who don't understand the original language.
How many restream hours are included?
Community Plus includes 15 hours per month and Reach 50 hours. Each output is counted separately. Additional hours cost €12 per output hour.
Is our stream key safe?
Once saved, the key is write-only and is never shown in full again; the dashboard shows only the last four characters. Still, never share it in chats, screenshots or tickets, and delete destinations you no longer use.
What if a platform rejects the stream?
The live controls show each destination's status and the last error. Check the address, the key, your account's live permission and whether the key has expired. The platform's own live view is the authoritative check that the stream is arriving.
